Zombies and goblins and ghosts, oh my!
Spooky season is upon us, which means it’s time to pull out your costumes, unearth your baskets, and get ready for a slew of scary events. Here are some chilling concerts, terrifying trunk-or-treats, and maudlin movies to get you in the Halloween spirit.

Fright at the Farm -- The haunt must go on! Outdoor haunted experience with live actors. Lights-on haunts happening 5-6 p.m. Saturdays Oct. 24 and 31.
When: 7-11 p.m. through Oct. 31.

Wicked Disco -- The RAC has a number of at-home activities: a virtual costume contest (through Oct. 29), mask-making kit discounts, and a home baking challenge to complete before Halloween!

Howl-a-ween -- Central Bark customers, bring your dog in for their day of day care in their best costume the week of 10/26-10/31 to be entered into a raffle for a great "treat" bag and a photo! For our non-daycare dogs, stop in dressed up and get a great homemade "treat"!

Tuesday, Oct. 27
Trivia Tuesday: Halloween —We will hold 3 rounds, 10 questions per round. Maximum of 6 players on a team. If you win a round, you’ll get 10% off your tab. Overall winners for the night will receive a gift card of $30, which can be used at anytime.

Right Brain: Canvas, Cocoa & Cookies — Join Canvas & Chardonnay for a "Canvas, Cocoa, & Cookies" event inside Collaboration Hall! Paint a fall creation and take it home with you for the season.

Thursday, Oct. 29
Halloween SPARK-tacular — Each day leading up to Halloween will feature family-friendly (not-so-spooky) Halloween-themed activities. Each day will feature a STEM activity, craft, games, scavenger hunt and a costume parade in the morning and afternoon.
When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost: $9 ages 1 to 59, $8 ages 60 and older, children under 1 get in free
Spooky Halloween Animal Talk -- Meet at the Upper Quarry for a spooky animal campfire talk. We'll have a fire going, so feel free to bring along your own marshmallow sticks and s'mores ingredients!
When: 5:30 p.m.

Crocus Hill Ghost Story -- The Anderson Center presents Crocus Hill Ghost Story, a collaborative live performance by new music ensemble Zeitgeist, writer Cheri Johnson, narrator KrisAnne Weiss and filmmaker DJ Mendel. A macabre tale of a house possessed that is accompanied by a wildly evocative and colorful score, Crocus Hill Ghost Story explores the complex relationship between two longtime friends and the evolution of their relationship as they experience a haunting. Suitable for teenagers through adults.

Saturday, Oct. 31
Trunk or Treat -- Appearances by local politicians, small businesses, and the River Valley Ghost Busters! Cars will be parked 9 feet apart.

Halloween at Hope — Games, candy and more! Professional photos available. Register online to avoid overcrowding.
When: 1 to 4 p.m.

Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat — "Power Up for Jesus" community outreach event. Everyone will always be socially distanced and masked. Candy will not be passed out at individual trunks, but will be handed out (touchless) at the conclusion of the drive-thru.
When: 2 to 4 p.m.
Where: Evangel United Methodist Church, 2645 N. Broadway, Rochester
Trick or Treat at RST — RST invites families to dress up in costume and attend a fun, safe Halloween event taking place outdoors in the parking lot. Enter at the Main Terminal Entrance and follow signs to event. See equipment on display and win candy and prizes.
When: 3 to 4 p.m.

Spooky Slatterly -- Costume parade, contest with small prizes, live music and pumpkin art, and individually bagged Halloween treats.

Block-tober Fest — Come dressed in your best costume with your candy bag! We'll have plenty of trunks to collect candy from, games, music and some fun goodies! Get-together will follow COVID-19 safety protocols.

Fall Fashion Show, "Halloween Style" -- Costumed Drive-In moviegoers can walk (strut, slither, crawl, fly) down a 24’ catwalk showcasing their unique costumes; parental assistance encouraged for the little ones. Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Gomez Addams, will direct each model to enter stage right stairs, proceed down the 24’ runway where at the end they will be urged to announce “Trick-Or-Treat” and receive a sealed bag of candies/treats (COVID-19 safely prepackaged). Photo props in driveway, video playback of fashion show to be screened, and stick around for "Goosebumps 2"

Creepy Doll Cocktail Party — Did you vote? Crown the winning Creepy Doll virtually on Halloween night! Help the dolls (and humans) celebrate with jazz duo John Penny and Steven Hobert. The band will play spooky music as each doll is honored with its own special cocktail (they are all winners, creepy in their own, special ways). Viewers can join in by making the drinks of their choice at home and toasting each doll.

Rochester Masonic Lodge's Drive-Thru Trunk-N-Treat -- Please join Rochester Lodge No. 21 as we will be hosting our very first Trunk-N-Treat event in the Lodge parking lot. Join us for a safe and sanitary Halloween experience. Stay in your car, wear your costume, and treats will be passed out as you drive through, contact free!
