ST. PAUL -- Fifteen people were recently appointed to the state's new Governor's Council on Biofuels.
The council's mission is to foster growth in the biofuel industry and recommend ways the state can reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Named to the board were Gary Anderson of Eagan, Michael Bull or Northfield Township, John Christianson of Lake Lillian, Elizabeth Crow of Minneapolis, Tim Gross of Duluth, Chris Hanson of Fountain, Rick Horton of Grand Rapids, Kevin Lee of Minneapolis, Lance Klatt of Little Canada, Jeanne MaCaherty of Prior Lake, Mick Miller of Morris, Kevin Paap of Lake Crystal, Brian Thalmann of Pluto, Gary Wertish of Renville and Bob Worth of Lake Benton.
“Their leadership will be instrumental in supporting our friends and neighbors in the ag and biofuels industries through what has been an incredibly challenging year," Gov. Tim Walz said when making the appointments.
