ST. PAUL — Strategic farming aimed at maximizing return on investment is the focus of a University of Minnesota Extension workshop being held in 11 cities.

Sponsored by the Minnesota Soybean Council, the topics include crop budgets, understanding ag research, what return on investment can be expected with various crop and pest management strategies, and best management practices for clean seed.

The workshops are free but you must preregister at https://z.umn.edu/strategic-farming.

Workshops will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and include lunch. The schedule is:

Feb. 14at the Knights of Columbus in Fairmont.

Feb. 26at the Community Center n the Steele County Fairgrounds in Owatonna.

Feb. 26at the Community Center in McIntosh.

Feb. 27at South Central College, Heritage Hall in North Mankato.

March 7at the American Legion in Montevideo.

March 12at the Hutchinson Event Center in Hutchinson.
