Amber Roberts Beaver - St. Louis Park

Amber Roberts Beaver died at age 94, Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, in St. Louis Park.

Amber was born Aug. 31, 1917, in Westbrook, to Bill and Mary Roberts. She grew up in the Browns Valley area, graduated from Wheaton High and attended the Minneapolis School of Business, and then married Harold Beaver in April 1938 in Kasson. They first lived in Kasson and then later in Brainerd, Mankato, Minnetonka and Nisswa, where they retired.

During retirement they traveled extensively and spent many winters in Arizona. Amber was village clerk in Kasson and bookkeeper at Mankato High.

Most recently of Jones Harrison Home in Minneapolis, she is survived by sons, Laird and Bernie (Patricia) of Edina; daughter, Candace (Lee) Frederiksen of McLean, Va.; six grandchildren, Heidi, Lyndsay, Heather, Dane, Nathan and Andrew; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Kay Roberts Ness, St Louis Park. Amber was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Harold, son, Milo, and sister, Mavis Roberts Wiborg.

A memorial service at Jones Harrison, 3700 Cedar Lake Ave. in Minneapolis, will be Friday, Nov. 25, at 2 p.m.
