La Vetta

La Vetta

30 Third St. SE

It would be easy to argue that there’s no bad seat on LaVetta—the seventh-floor outdoor rooftop patio that overlooks downtown. Even the indoor seating here feels like you’re outside. But here’s co-owner Scott Foster’s take: “The best place is right at the corner table—the northwest corner, a high-topped, round table next to the gas lantern. Beautiful view of the downtown area, the deck, the fireplace, and you can turn around and see the rest of the diners as well. Everything is right in front of you, if you sit in that corner.”

The top of the H3 Plaza in downtown Rochester will soon have a new venue with more of a dance club vibe.

La Vetta, owned by Nova Restaurant Group, operated Le Vetta on top of the six story building at 30 Third Street SE, almost since the building opened in 2014.

It has been closed this season. It was announced this morning that it will re-launch as the H3 Rooftop.

The new incarnation will feature "top rated DJs from places like L.A. and New York City" as well as a bar and a menu provided by Nova.

Minneapolis-based Entourage Events Group will operate H3 Rooftop.

Nova owns Terza Ristorante on the street level of the plaza as well the popular Rochester restaurants, Pescara and Chester’s Kitchen & Bar.
