The legendary Sister Generose Gervais passed away Friday night at the age of 97.
She was known as the incredibly hard-working, long-time leader of St Marys Hospital.
Sister Generose was also known for her famous pickles and jams. Sold at many bazaars, people would line up before the doors would open to make sure they could get a jar or two.
We have a full story about her on postbulletin.com and more to come for Monday's print edition.
Here's a bonus for the many fans of her pickles, courtesy of Mayo Clinic. Her hand-written pickle recipe.

"I’m often quoted as saying, ‘No money, no mission. 'That’s true, but remember the rest of it: ‘No mission, no need for money.'" - Sister Generose.
