Traffic is a little "nutty" around Rochester this week with the Planters Peanut Nutmobile visiting the Med City area.

Some sharp-eyed readers have noticed the giant peanut-shaped vehicle parked in front of the new Candlewood Suites hotel, just off of South Broadway.

The Nutmobile and its three person team rolled into Rochester on Sunday and has been making appearances in the area.

Look for it at the Rochester Royals vs the Cannon Falls Bears game at Mayo Field at 5:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. tonight.

On Thursday, it will be at Golfpalooza at the Northfield Golf Club from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

On Friday through Sunday, it will appear at Lake City's WaterSki Days Festival, including the parade.

The team members give tours of the vehicle and share fun facts like it weighs the equivalent of 300 million peanuts. They also will help people take "shell-fies" pics with vehicle.

And yes, they actually say that.

It's also 11 and half feet tall. They don't try to measure the height in peanuts.

Planters has three Nutmobiles on the road following a program that's similar to Oscar Meyer's Wienermobile.

While he doesn't drive the vehicle, Mr. Peanut with his top hat and monocle does travel with the Nutmobile and makes appearances with it.
