PLAINVIEW -- The funeral for Bruno A. Goede will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview, with the Rev. David L. Frederickson officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview with military rites by Plainview American Legion Post 179.
Mr. Goede, 75, died Wednesday morning (Nov. 22, 1995) at his home.
Born Aug. 11, 1920, in Germany, he settled near Ridgeway in Winona County in 1923. In 1935, he moved to Plainview and was employed at Lakeside Packing Co. as warehouse foreman for 20 years. For another 20 years, he was employed in the maintenance department by Kahler Corp. in Rochester. He was owner of Goede TV and Satellite for more than 40 years until his death, and served in the Pacific during World War II.
On March 21, 1943, he married Ruth Lawson at Immanual Luthern Church in Plainview. She survives.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church; a member of Plainview American Legion Post 179; past president of the Thunderbolts Motorcycle Club; member of the board of directors, regional director and past state representative for North Central Region of the Retreads Motorcycle Club; original member of the Southern Honkers Campers Club; member of Plainview Fliers Club. Besides motorcycling and camping, he enjoyed woodworking.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jean (Mrs. Kenneth) Henke of Chatfield, and Julie (Mrs. Joel) Eggenberger of Plainview; one son, William of Plainview; six grandchildren; and one sister, Elsa (Mrs. Lyle) Swanson of Elgin.
He is preceded in death by twin infant brothers and his parents.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Schleicher Funeral home in Plainview and at the church one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.@et
