The Mayo Clinic Chapter of professional society Sigma Xi plans a discussion about whether agriculture should feed the world — or fuel the world.
Sigma Xi's presentation will focus on "Science and the Global Environment" and the question of whether farmland should be used to produce biofuels or food. John Sheehan with the "Initiative for Renewable Energy and the Environment" will speak.
The talk is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Hall in the Siebens Building, 100 Second Ave. S.W., on the Mayo Clinic campus in downtown Rochester.
