Company:Rochester Shuttle Service provides scheduled transportation between Rochester and the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport and Mall of America. Our mission is to provide professional, top-notch customer service at a fair price.

Education:Joel has a degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire; Mike has an associate's degree from Rochester Community and Technical College

Experience:Between us, we have almost 10 years of experience in the airport transportation industry. Joel has also worked for 12 years as an analyst and auditor at Menards corporate office in Eau Claire, Wis. Mike has experience in sales and has owned several small businesses.


Book, website, television show, movie impression: Tough question. At the risk of self-promotion, we kind of like our website, We like it for its simplicity and it’s easy to navigate. Many websites have so much clutter you don’t know where to start.

Do you use social networking sites such as Facebook or Twitter?We both use Facebook personally and professionally. It’s a great way to keep up with family and friends and to keep customers informed of company news and information. We have a Twitter account, but have only tweeted (is that a word?) a few times.

What’s your business philosophy?We want to provide an excellent service and bring a high level of professionalism and customer service to the patients, visitors and residents of the Rochester area.

How did you get into the Rochester shuttle business?Mike was thinking about doing this for several years while operating his other business, Rochester Limousine. In fall, we decided the time was right, and the rest is history.

What do you enjoy most about your job?Without question, doing our best to serve our customers. We get a tremendous amount of satisfaction from working with customers, fulfilling their needs and exceeding their expectations.

How many times do you estimate you’ve driven from Rochester to the Twin Cities? Do you get tired of it?Over the years and recent months, countless times. Each trip is unique because you have different customers and different weather and traffic conditions. Each customer brings something new to the trip, so it’s never boring.
