DODGE CENTER — Firefighters responded about 2:30 a.m. today to a fire at an area business.
Crews were called to McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing at 524 E. Highway St., Dodge Center, which produces cement mixers and garbage trucks.
According to a firefighter on the scene, the fire was contained to an exhaust system above one of the paint booths in the production area.
Employees in the area were sent home for the remainder of the shift, but work was expected to continue uninterrupted today.
Firefighters were on the scene until about 4 a.m. No injuries were reported.
