A new executive started work today at Rochester Public Utilities.
Sidney Jacksonwas hired as RPU's new director of core services. He is responsible for operations in the water and electric utilities. That includes overseeing all electric distribution and transmission, water supply and its distribution, system operations and engineering.
Jackson is stepping into a position last held by Mark Kotschevar. Kotschevarwas named as RPU's general manager in April. He replaced Larry Koshire, who retired after guiding RPU as its top executive since 1997.
Jackson comes to RPU with more than 20 years of experience with Ameren Energyand Xcel Energy. He most recently served as the director of client relations for Midcontinent Independent System Operator in St. Paul.
