Heard on the Street: Mayo Clinic exec joins US Bank

U.S. Bank's high-end private banking unit has hired a Mayo Clinic Health System executive to work with their health care clients.

Kenneth Palattao will work with U.S. Bank's Private Client Reserve unit in Minneapolis.

He joined the administrative team of Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin in 2011. His responsibilities included the clinic operating room surgery divisions; in- and out-patient psychiatry and psychology; addiction recovery services; radiology; rehabilitation services; medical staffing office/scheduling; and Crime Victims Resource Center.

In his vice president new role at the bank's large account unit, Palattao works with clinics, doctor's offices and other related businesses as a health care banking specialist.

He has many years of medical administrative background, including stints as the executive director for Pediatric Surgical Associates; regional director for Park Nicollet Clinic Health Services; and clinic consultant for Midwest Clinic Management Inc., all in the Twin Cities area.

Most recently, he was a vice president for ADA Manpower International, providing international recruitment of Filipino nurses to health care facilities in the United States, as well as off-shore transcription services. -- Jeff Kiger
