The other partners are Arizona State University,New York based developer KUD International LLCand the city of Phoenix.
KUD is working with the land department to lease 150 acres to develop facilities and companies that could create as many as 30,000 high-tech, high-wage jobs, according to the Phoenix Business Journal.
In the latest development, the Arizona State Land Departmenthas set a public auction for a 23.87-acre parcel near Mayo Clinic Hospitalin Phoenix on Dec. 22, according to the Journal.
Arizona State University has its eye on that land, with plans to build a health education and bioscience research campus, the Journal said. The Arizona Board of Regents -- which operates ASU and its two other sister schools, University of Arizona in Tucson and Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff -- has filed a 99-year lease application with the state land department on ASU's behalf.

But that doesn't preclude other developers from swooping into that 10:30 a.m. land auction and bidding higher than ABOR. The minimum bid is $7.25 million.
So far, there has not been an auction date set for that land parcel. — Mike Klein
