Chick-fil-Ahas long been on Rochester readers' list of fast food franchises they'd to see come to the Med City.
The Atlanta-based company expanded into Minnesota recently and now has four new restaurants opening in the Twin Cities this fall.
If that wasn't enough to whet Rochester chicken fans appetite, The City Pagestabloid in the metro area recently reported that Chick-fil-A has plans in the works to eventually develop six additional Minnesota restaurants in the next three to five years.
And then reporter Emily Weisswrapped up her article with this spicy chicken tidbit:
"Though most of those locations will be in the Twin Cities metro area, the company says they are looking to go to Duluth, St. Cloud, and Rochester too."

Unfortunately for those hoping for a Rochester location, Chick-fil-A's Brenda D. Morrowcouldn't discuss any long-term plans to come to Minnesota's third largest city.
"We are so excited about our growth in the Minneapolis area. Currently we only have the four locations confirmed," she wrote in an email this. "At this time, I cannot confirm any additional locations."
New Mexican eatery open
Avocado's Mexican & American Grillopened its doors in Rochester at 1647 S. Broadway this week.
Nazario and Michelle Porrashave been working for a while to create their new place in the former home of the Mysore Cafe Indianrestaurant.
The Porrases also own and run Mango's Mexican & American Grillin Winona. They opted to not use Mango's as a name in Rochester to avoid confusion with Johnny Mango's Catering.
Avocado's, however, does call up the memory of Avocados World Bistro. That restaurant was open in southwest Rochester from 2007 to 2008. There's no connection between that one and this new place.
