The Worlein Funeral Home in Austin has received National Funeral Director Association's Pursuit of Excellence award for its programming and customer service.

Each year, just 2 percent of funeral homes earn the award, given to firms that have demonstrated proficiency in key areas of funeral service.

Worlein was also one of just four to win the best of the best award, recognizing an innovative program, in honor of its production in conjunction with KSMQ public television titled "Embracing Grief."

The film features the personal stories of six families served by Worlein Funeral Home who have lost a loved one.
