Another new member of the rapidly growing Mayo Clinic Care Network has been announced.
This time, it's Arizona's Yuma Regional Medical Center .
According to a Mayo press release, Yuman Regional doctors will now have access to Mayo Clinic specialists on questions of patient care using an electronic consulting technique called eConsults.
"YRMC physicians also will have access to Mayo-vetted medical information through the AskMayoExpert database," the clinic announcement says.
The 369-bed Yuma medical center website says the hospital includes "2,000 employees, 300 doctors and hundreds of volunteers."

Since Mayo launched the Care Network in 2011, it has grown to include facilities based in Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire and North Dakota.
It's part of a systemwide effort to expand the reach of Mayo protocols to more patients, closer to their own homes. Mayo administrators have said they want to spread the "Mayo model of care" to millions of patients in the next few years.
