It looks like the home of Rochester’s first co-working space will soon be history.
Back in 2012, a group of young business people launched a new co-working space called The Cube.
It was located in a 360-square-foot garage at 717 South Broadway. That's between The Running Room shop and the Rochester Area Family Y parking lot.
The “Cubists” soon outgrew the small shed and moved on to a larger space at 328 South Broadway.
Eventually, The Cube closed up shop.
However, Rochester now has other Cube descendants, like the Collider in the Conley-Maas building above the Bleu Duck.
No matter what came next, The Cube the first in the Med City.
The small garage, where it all started, is now slated for demolition.
A demolition permit was filed today, so look for this small, angular shed that was once a sign of Rochester's future to soon become part of its past.
