PINE ISLAND - A Pine Island recreational vehicle park sold for $1.1 million earlier this week.

The Hidden Meadows RV Park at 6450 120th St. NW, in rural Pine Island, was purchased by Wabasha-based Hidden Meadows Resort, LLC led by Tracy Hofschulte. The deal closed Wednesday.

It was sold by Kris Powell and Jeff Mack, who had owned the park since 2004.

Olmsted County estimated the total market value of the 30-acre park and its buildings at $391,000 for 2020-2021.

While the pandemic has not been kind to local fitness centers, permit filings show that a plan to build a new one in Northwest Rochester is rolling along.

A final site plan has been filed to build a 7,360-square-foot building on open land at 4181 31st Ave. NW to house an Anytime Fitness workout studio. That spot puts the proposed complex behind an O’Reilly Auto Parts store and across 31st Avenue from Mayo Clinic’s 41st Street Campus.

This will be the second Anytime location in Rochester for Matt Jewison and his father, Joe Jewison. They opened one in the River Center Plaza at 1629 N. Broadway in 2016.

The hope is to start moving dirt soon and open the new studio this winter.
