Nate Stencil, CEO of South Dakota-based Stencil Homes, is looking to build in the Med City again.

Stencil,has built five apartment complexes in Rochester in the past five years that he estimates total a $79.5 million investment. He has submitted a grading permit for a new project called the Badger Hills Senior Living Complex.

The brief permit describes the proposed project as “a 256-unit senior housing facility that will include surface parking, storm water basins, and utilities.” The plan is to build it in two, “128-unit phases.”

The permit does not have a specific address, but the project is slated to be built along Badger Hill Drive. That’s the road off of West Circle Drive where Stencil’s The Pines apartments are located.

Stencil has been involved in a number of Rochester projects, but this seems to be his first one focused on senior housing.
