The owners of Rochester's Two Men and a Truck moving business purchased the building that houses their operation for $1.03 million on Tuesday, with plans to add storage to their services.
Rochester-based GLMR Enterprises LLC bought the office/warehouse building at 6047 Rome Circle NW that Two Men and a Truck has leased for the past three years.
DTGR LLC, also of Rochester, sold the 9,240-square-foot complex. DTGR, led by Todd L. Robertson, had owned the building since December 2016.
The Two Men and a Truck franchise and GLMR are owned by Mike Reps, who is also the general manager of the moving company, and Dr. Giuseppe Lanzino.
Beside taking control of their headquarters, Reps explained that this deal will allow Two Men and a Truck to add storage to its offerings.
The plan is to convert about 6,500 square feet of the complex into 33 climate-controlled storage units. He said they know the need is there, because clients often ask if they offer storage.
"We're looking forward to offering a more complete service to our customers," said Reps. "And more stability for the company and our employees."
After experiencing a downturn early in the pandemic, he added that business has been very steady in recent days. Reps has 40 employees on staff.
Reps hopes to have the storage unit ready for use yet this month.
Olmsted County estimated the total market value of the property at $760,100 for 2020-2021.
