Rochester’s Soccer World scored Olmsted County’s first $1 million real estate deal of 2021.
The 18,000-square-foot athletic complex at 380 Woodlake Drive SE was purchased for $1.2 million on Jan. 1 by Soccer World LLC.
The company is led by Soccer World’s founder and owner Kevin Lowery, so it looks like he is shifting from leasing to owning the 15-year-old building.
Lowery opened Soccer World, an indoor soccer center, in 2005.
Byron-based Coats Development, led by Michael Coats, sold the property. Coats purchased it in 2005 from Bamber Valley Development LLC for $1.22 million.
Olmsted County estimated the total market value of the complex and the 1.77 acres it is located on at $1.28 million for 2020-2021.
While Soccer World is the first and so far only $1 million commercial real estate in Olmsted County for 2021, a house in Southwest Rochester did sell for $1.02 million on Jan. 8.
