Getting some lab work done might be a little more delicious in the Med City with a new food truck concept hitting the streets.
Enedino "Nino" Morales has revamped what was his Garden Fresh truck into The Taco Lab. The Taco Lab rolled out this week.
While Rochester has its share of taco trucks, Morales has his own “experimental” take on the traditional street fare.
Taco Lab claims to have “some of the most outside-the-box tacos you have ever tried.”
The taco menu sports offerings like, The Mad Scientist, Kung Fu Chicken and Think Outside the Bell. Plus, the truck serves its tacos with beans and rice.
The Lab also serves roasted corn on the cob with mayo, queso and chiless, and a sweet and spicy dish with mangoes, chiles and chamoy sauce.
Look for Morales’ truck at 1310 Fifth Place NW, just off Civic Center Drive, from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. That’s the parking lot by the original Daube’s bakery location, which is closed.
For people looking for lunch in downtown Rochester, the Taco Lab can be found behind the Hilton Building at Third Street Southwest and Second Avenue Southwest. It is parked there from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday.
