Refashion Consigned Furniture & Clothing, a popular Med City consignment shop, is open for business in its new Northwest Rochester location.
Owners Rob and Alisha Arguello recently moved the store to larger digs in River Center Plaza at 1643 N. Broadway. They officially opened last week in the 5,000-square-foot space next to Glynner’s Pub.
It carries a collection of furniture, artwork and exercise equipment, as well as men’s and women’s clothing. It didn’t carry men’s clothing in the previous location.
In March, Alisha Arguello said the move would bring all of the store’s offerings back under one roof and solve a growing need for space. The previous location in Northgate Center at 1218 Seventh St. N.W. didn’t have room to display everything, so the furniture was displayed in another space.
She described setting up in the River Center Plaza as returning Refashion to a look reminiscent of its time on South Broadway.
Cindy Hughes, the previous owner, had a long run at 321 S. Broadway, until she moved Refashion to Northgate in 2018 and then sold the business to the Arguellos in 2020.
The River Center store has five employees on staff plus the owners.
