Rochester Area Foundation welcomes new board member

The Rochester Area Foundation Board of Trustees has added a new board member, Paul Gorman.

Gorman has a background in investment strategy and fund management. He has spent the past 18 years working in Mayo Clinic's Treasury Services section, and he currently serves as Mayo's deputy chief investment officer and assistant treasurer. His primary responsibility is for Mayo's public equity and opportunistic absolute return portfolios. He also oversees a Treasury Services team involved in Mayo's venture capital and international private equity relationships.

Before working for Mayo, Gorman worked for SEI Investments as a regional director, and at Shearson Lehman Brothers. He earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and his master's degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Gorman has served on the foundation's Investment Committee for a number of years and has helped guide their assets to generous returns. He currently serves as the co-chairman of the Investment Committee.
