While the term "brothers" is relative, Rochester's newest sandwich shop is a "family" operation.
Two Brothers Philly Steaks Subsopened last week at 1217 Second St. S.W., just a salami toss across the street from Mayo Clinic's Saint Marys Hospital.
The menu includes sandwiches such as Chicken Parmesan, Turkey Club, Italian, Veggie Delight, Chicken Cordon Bleu and, of course, the signature Philly Steak Sub.
Its namesake sandwich — The Two Brothers Special — is a mouthful, made with ham, salami, pepperoni, turkey, green peppers, banana peppers, onions, mushrooms and choice of any cheese between the bread.
The staff of this latest cafe incarnation are creating sandwiches where Hornito's Mexicanrestaurant once heated things up as Cafe Di Milanodid before that.

All three places have more than just an address in common. Owner Pete Pasaliscreated all of them. Pasalis, a well-known restaurateur on Second Street, also manages the nearby Cafe Presto.
This time around, he has Pativath "Vot" Louprasongat his side behind the counter at Two Brothers, but don't expect any literal sibling rivalry.
"Even though we're not blood, we're like family. We've known each other forever. We're just like brothers," says Louprasong, to explain the name of the shop.
A team of six staff the eatery.
Louprasong says while subs are the focus, Two Brothers has a lot more to offer than just sandwiches.
"We have phenomenal homemade egg rolls as appetizers," he says. The list goes on to include fresh cut fries, chicken tenders and cheese curds.
Look for a full menu of coffee drinks and Chicago-style hot dogs to be added to the mix after Two Brothers gets up a full head of steam.
