A 24-year-old wellness entrepreneur plans to soon double his footprint in the Med City by opening a second location
John Meyer is adding a second Nutrition Shack store as a sibling to his shop in the Apache Mall. The mall location opened in 2018.
The Nutrition Shack, which Meyer created, sells vitamins, supplements and CBD products.
However, the new store being built at 221 28th St. SE will add smoothie drinks made with products from the shelves and cold-press juice to the Nutrition Shack offerings. He is even adding a drive-thru window to serve the drinks.
The new store will be on the north end of a commercial center anchored by The Barbershop and Gamestop . The goal is to open soon, possibly by the end of the month.

Meyer is excited to add new elements to the business in the new store, which he hopes will take it to new levels.
“My whole focus in this is the environment, experience, vibe and energy … I’m trying to transform the industry that I think has failed people,” he said. “This store is a big step toward that … We’re here to transform lives, we’re here to empower people.”
