NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Variance Request

On Wednesday, March 10th, 2021 after 6:30 pm the Salem Township Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing at the Salem Town Hall, 8433 Salem Road SW, Byron, MN regarding:

An application for a variance to the side yard setback criteria. The applicant's property is zoned A-2; Agricultural Protection District wherein the side yard setback criteria for any structure is 25 feet. The existing house, which was not built by this applicant, is already within ten feet of the west property line and the applicant wishes to construct a mother-in-law addition that would be within six feet of the west property line. There was no variance for the original dwelling to be built within ten feet of the property line; therefore, this request would require a variance to the ordnance of 19 feet.

Legal Description/Location:

Parcel #: 652013044025 - SECT-20 TWP-106 RANGE-015 10.00 AC E10A W1/2 SW1/4 NE1/4 SEC 20 106 15. Located on a private driveway approximately one-half mile west of the intersection of County Road #150 and 35th Street SW.
