NAMI still walks, just virtually

Annual walk will take place Sept. 26.

NAMI Walks

This year's NAMI Walks Virtual Walk is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 26.

The DIT (Do it Together) walk will combine virtual components and safe-distance in-person celebrations. People are encouraged to perform the activity of their choice, from walking their own chosen route to watching a movie in the comfort of their own home.

The "Parade in place" component is a reverse parade. Participants are asked to build stationary floats in their yard or a park (with proper approval) for the community to drive by and see. Volunteers to post flyers and participate in other ways are also welcomed.

For more information on sponsorship or to participate, visit namimn.org/events/nami-walk or email events@namimn.org.

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) provides support to those who suffer from mental illness as well as the family and friends who support those that suffer from mental illness.
