A public observation of Veterans Day will be held Thursday, Nov. 11, at the International Events Center near the Rochester International Airport.
An hour-long program beginning at 10:30 a.m. following a free breakfast, courtesy of Powers Ventures, from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
This year’s program will honor law enforcement officers. Sheriff Kevin Torgerson and Erin Stoeckig, winner of the 2020 national award for the VFW Voice of Democracy, will be the featured speakers.
KIMT anchor George Mallet will emcee the program and singer Brad Boice will perform.
Face masks will be required for people attending when they’re not seated.
