Daniel Lee Vehrenkamp, 54, died unexpectedly at his home in Minneapolis.
Dan was born July 29, 1956, in Rochester. He grew up in the Eyota area on a farm. Dan graduated from Eyota High School in 1974. He was employed at several restaurants in Rochester.
Dan enjoyed his family, gardening and traveling.
Dan is survived by his father, Clyde (Sally) Vehrenkamp of Eyota; his mother, June (Victor) Sash of Rochester; four sisters, Gwen (Mark) Kildahl of Rochester, Sally (Dave) MacLeod of Stewartville, Pam (Ken) Ludwig of Rochester and Julie Vehrenkamp of Rochester; one step-brother, Jim (Kim) Sash of Rochester; several nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and one great-niece. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
