Doris Marilyn Feine, 78, of St. Charles, died surrounded by her family at her home on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Doris was born at home in Rushford on June 4, 1933, to Edward and Josephine (Woxland) Peterson. When they moved to St. Charles in 1965, Doris and Ken became members at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. For over 30 years, Doris worked as a supervisor in the touch-up department of Camera Art in Lewiston.

She was devoted to her family and supported her grandchildren’s many events, which were always written on the calendar. Her famous sponge cookies will always be remembered.
