An opportunity to enjoy early morning walking.
The birds are busy, chirping and talking.
The blue sky filled with sunshine and fresh air.
Truly delightful, the summer essence everywhere.
No clouds above, presenting majestic vistas today.
The beauty of summer calls, as it will soon fall away.
Unfortunately, the solar rays are burning my back.
The radiant energy is strong, with no sign of slack.
Boiling and burning, searching desperately for shade.
Hastily arriving at the first stop sign, hoping I won't fade.
Optimistically, I thought the stop sign would be a solution.
Although the octagon's shade was a slim illusion.
Better than the constant sun, I pause briefly for a break.
The octagon shade was a welcome relief I would not forsake.
