Southeastern Minnesota Poets is seeking family-friendly poems for possible inclusion in a late-winter virtual program called "Bright Light Stories in the Night."

For the program, six winning poems from local writers will be illustrated by local artists and incorporated into an e-chapbook that will be read by local celebrities on the evening of Friday, Feb. 26, 2021.

Thanks to grant from SEMAC (Southern Minnesota Arts Council), the winning poets and artists will receive cash awards for their work. Submission guidelines can be found online at mnpoets.org.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from SEMAC thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
