Christmas can do that …
Can join this time
With all Christmases
Gone before ...
A rich tapestry.
Forgotten,
All the seasons
Of rushing,
Of discomfort,
Unpleasantness, wounds.
Remembered,
The happiness
Of family together,
Laughter and love
And hearts swelled
With joy.
It’s here now,
All around me,
That tapestry
A warm embrace.
