You sleep and dream you are awake —
her voices are everywhere, touching you
on your head, in your heart,
explaining all the places you've been,
shaping words like only she can
stop & money & love
does she ~ do you?
The way you adore her
photograph, the way you adore her
her soft complaints,
the silk sheets of the bed.
