Gene Arthur Keehn, 62, died Tuesday morning, Aug. 9, 2011, at his home in Brownsville, following a one-year battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 23, 1948, in Rochester, to Kenneth and Esther (Wallace) Keehn. Gene served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. Gene married Marlene (Pollock) Scott in 1966 and they later divorced. In 1973 he married Barbara Johnson at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He was formerly employed by Gopher Welding Supply and Mississippi Welding Supply in Rochester, and Wisconsin Department of Transportation in Madison, Wis.
Gene is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Alicia Keehn; grandchildren, Amanda Keehn, Jolene Keehn, William Scott and Rory Scott; sisters, Judy (William) Haas, Janice (Albert) Garner; brother-in-laws, Robert (Barbara) Lovett and Gary Johnson; sister-in-law, Janice Manahan; many nieces and nephews as well as his faithful rat terriers, Squeaky and Rosie. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Darlene Lovett.
Gene’s wish was to have a private service with family only.
