Herbert Levi Fellows, 89, of Lewiston, died Thursday evening, Nov. 17, 2011, at Winona Health with his loving family by his side.
Herb was born Aug. 27, 1922, in Rochester to Walter and Flossie Belle (Burch) Fellows. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1942. Following graduation Herb worked for 7UP. He and Jane Helen Pierce were married Dec. 30, 1950, at Rochester Methodist Church. Following their marriage Herb drove truck for Reynolds Wholesale Co., Moorman’s Feed and McNeilus Steel, retiring in 1984.
The couple lived in Kasson for 42 years before moving to Lewiston in 1992.
Herb found great enjoyment in camping with family, hunting, gardening, fishing, and making and selling crafts, as well as painting with oils. He also enjoyed searching for treasures with his metal detector and collecting agates. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lewiston.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; three children and their families; son Gary Fellows of Alma, Wis.; daughter Donna (Bob) Jensen of Winona and their family, Davin (Amanda), Hannah and Abby Jensen of Milwaukee, Jacob (Molly) Jensen of Stockton, Celeste (Mike) Cyert and their children, Xavier and Ava, of Cochrane, Wis.; daughter Judy Fellows of Utica and her family, Dylan (Kim) Fluekiger of Alma, Wis., and Katie Fluekiger of Eau Claire, Wis. He is further survived by a sister, Bernice Jenkins of Bemidji, and numerous nieces and nephews. Herb was preceded in death by a sister, Lola, and his parents.

Services to celebrate Herb’s life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Lewiston with the Rev. Tim Gerarden officiating. Burial will follow in Fremont Scotch Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Lewiston. They may also call one hour before services Tuesday at the church.
