Juan Ruiz, 22, of Rochester, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Juan was born Feb. 28, 1989, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He was raised, graduated from high school, and attended college there before moving to Rochester in June of 2007. He had worked as a cook at the Golden Corral, Dos Amigos, and was working at Applebee’s and TGI Friday’s. He married Lourdes Valencia in Nov. of 2009.
Juan enjoyed music, computers, and cars.
Survivors include his wife Lourdes; his daughter, Angelina Ruiz; his mother, Martha Ruiz; and his sister, Daniela Ruiz, all of Rochester.
The Funeral Mass will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi Church, with Father Timothy T. Reker officiating.

Friends may call from 2:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Mahn Family Funeral Home – Rochester Chapel, 1624 37 St. N.W., and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.
