Leo P. Hanf of Golden Valley, Minn., formerly of Stewartville, loving husband, father and grandfather, was born Oct. 30, 1923, and passed away peacefully on Aug. 11, 2011.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Lois; sons and daughters-in-law, Dave and Carol, Dan and Brenda Hanf; grandsons, Shawn, Daniel, Paul and Andrew Hanf; two sisters and two brothers; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
Leo was a maintenance mechanic for Electric Machinery for 37 years and was a life member of Golden Valley VFW Post #7051 and was also its past commander and bingo manager.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary of the Lake, 105 N. Forestview Lane, Plymouth, Minn. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale, Minn., and one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
