McKenna Hovengais back home in Shell Rock, and in good health.

According to the Hovengas’ first television interview since McKenna’s injury, parents Kassy and Lee Hovenga were overwhelmed by the support they received from all over the U.S.

In early May, McKenna was hit on the head by a thrown softball. The injury caused a skull fracture and brain bleed, which led to multiple seizures.

McKenna spent six weeks at Mayo Clinic, and at one point was put into a coma to heal.

She returned home recently where she will continue her recovery, according to a KWWL interview. Her parents do not know what related problems could arise in the future.
