WINONA — The annual Art of Fine Furniture exhibition will hold an Open Party 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. June 15 at the Winona County History Center.

The party will be an opportunity for people to meet the artists and check out their work. Founded in 2013 by local artist Jamie Schell, the annual exhibition showcases the work of both professional and hobbyist furniture-makers. The exhibit runs through Aug. 10.

Furniture is mostly appreciated for its utility, but it can also be appreciated for its aesthetics, quality and “feel.” All the pieces in the exhibit were made by regional artists and craftsmen. Most of the pieces are for sale and can be purchased from the artists. Contact information will be available at the exhibit.

A new feature of this year’s edition will be the work of Winona artist Zak Fellman, whose intricate prints are made from cut logs.
