Ed Asner is returning to Rochester to present his one-man play, "A Man and His Prostate," at 2 p.m. Sept. 12 and 13 at Rochester Civic Theatre.
The play explores a serious topic in a humorous way, Asner has said. The play was written by Emmy Award-winner Ed Weinberger and is based on his personal experience with prostate cancer.
Asner, former president of the Screen Actors Guild, won seven Emmy Awards for his role as Lou Grant on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and the spinoff "Lou Grant."
Asner previously performed "A Man and His Prostate" to sold-out audiences in 2018 at the Civic.
