MEDIATION SKILLS TRAINING
Our 40 Hour Family Mediation Training qualifies volunteer mediators to mediate family issues including parenting time. Training meets Rule 114 requirements. Training will be held from November 11 to November 15, from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Cost is $125 for volunteers who commit two years of volunteer service to Mediation & Conflict Solutions. FOOD SHELF VOLUNTEERS
We serve over 3,400 families and individuals in need each month and about 40% of those benefiting from our services are children. You will stock and organize shelves, help clients shop, and help at the checkout stand in the food shelf. Two hour shifts are available, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. most weekdays. NATION OF ISLAM VOLUNTEER
A volunteer is needed to instruct and/or supervise male inmates incarcerated at the Federal Medical Center in the Nation of Islam practices and ceremonies. The volunteer must be a "subject matter expert" in Nation of Islam. However, no instruction of anti-government, anti-religion, or anti-race will be permitted. COSMETOLOGY VOLUNTEER TO PROVIDE HAIRCUTS
We are seeking MN State Licensed Cosmetologists to volunteer within their communities to provide haircuts to our patients living with an advanced illness. Our basic requirements are a 6-month commitment and the ability to provide 2-4 haircuts per month. Orientation and ongoing support and mentorship will be provided.
