Minnesota Public Radio will broadcast “All Things Considered” live from the Rochester Art Center May 29.

The show, hosted by Tom Crann, will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The program is open to the public.

Then, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Crann will moderate a discussion on the topic of childhood trauma. The discussion is intended to help people understand the detrimental health effects childhood trauma can have on individuals throughout their lives, and how that trauma can affect families and communities living with toxic stress.

Members of the panel are Anne Gearity, of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota Medical School; Resmaa Menakem, a culture trauma expert and author; and Denise Moody, assistant director of student services at Rochester Public Schools.

Admission is free, but registration is required through brownpapertickets.com.

The event is part of MPR’s Call to Mind initiative, coinciding with National Mental Health Month.

The Rochester Art Center is at 40 Civic Center Drive SE.
