It jumped

into my cart

down the candy aisle

blended

chocolate and caramel

nougat and nuts

shelved

poised

alert

wrapper trembling

ready to launch

as I passed by

that sweet projectile

catapulted

soared

scored

hit its mark

intent on my cart

what was I to do?
