Rochester native Kirsten Schowalter will discuss her book, “In My Own Skin” in programs Sunday and Monday.

The book recounts Schowalter’s journey with grief following the death of her father, David Schowalter, a Mayo Clinic physician, in a traffic accident in 2007. The family was returning to Rochester from a camping trip when the crash occurred. Kirsten Schowalter now lives in California.

She will talk about her book and her experiences in a ZED Talks session at 9:35 a.m. Sunday at Zumbro Lutheran Church, 624 Third Ave. SW. A second program, sponsored by the Rochester Public Library, is set for 7 p.m. Oct. 22 in Riverview Room C at Mayo Civic Center, 30 Civic Center Drive SW.
