I'm a watercolor artist and live in rural Chatfield. When I went to college, I was initially going to major in art, but then realized I needed a job. Then I thought I would be an art teacher, but with budget cuts, those jobs were not secure. So I ended up getting a degree in elementary education and I am currently an instructional coach at an elementary school in Rochester.

I always have been interested in art, but it wasn't until my kids left the house that I decided to pursue my dream of being an artist. I started taking classes at community ed in Rochester, and also connected with others who are interested in painting in watercolor. I am now an artist in the SEMVA Gallery, Gallery 24, and I have an art show right now at 125 LIVE (through the end of September).
