HOUSTON, Minn. — If you like bluegrass music, it's time to head for the hills.
The annual Southeast Minnesota Bluegrass Association Festival will be held Aug. 14-17 at Cushon's Peak Campground, 18696 Minnesota Highway 16, in the bluff country near Houston.
Concerts are at 1 p.m and 7 p.m. Aug. 14 through Aug. 16, with an additional show at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 16, and concerts at 9 a.m. (Gospel music) and noon Aug. 17. Instrument workshops, open stage and jam sessions also are scheduled.
Bands scheduled to perform include Castle Ridge, Cedar Valley, the Misty Mountain Boys, Barton's Hollow, Art Stevenson & High Water, the Seeger Boys, Timbre Junction and Long Time Gone.
Tickets are $32 for all four days ($30 in advance). Tickets for Friday through Sunday are $29 ($27 in advance). Ages 16 and younger are admitted free with a paying adult. For advance tickets, go to www.semba.tv, or call 507-864-8109.
