HOUSTON, Minn. — Four days of bluegrass music, including concerts, workshops, jam sessions and open stage segments, will take place Aug. 15-18 when the Southeast Minnesota Bluegrass Association Bluegrass Festival is held at Cushon's Peak Campground near Houston.
Bands scheduled to perform include Mark Phillips & IIIrd Generation, from Oklahoma; McPunk Brothers, from Iowa; the Seeger Boys, from Wisconsin; the Bluegrass Blondies, from Iowa, and County Line, from Iowa. Concerts are at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Aug. 15-17, with a gospel music session at 9 a.m. Aug. 18, and a final concert at noon Aug. 18.
Workshops are held at 9 a.m. Aug. 17. In addition, a bluegrass workshop led by Keith Yoder and Paul Roberts will be held from 9 am. to 4 pm. Aug. 14. Information at 507-288-1785.
